Elections are the basis of a strong democracy. Here’s how we do our bit to contribute towards it.

We are all aware of the upcoming Delhi Elections on February 7th. In our representative democracy, which the founders built into the constitution, Electioneering is the very basis of it, and we at MapmyIndia consider ourselves very fortunate to be in a position to contribute towards this very critical process in our small way. In a unique initiative to convenience/facilitate the citizens of Delhi to cast their votes, we have launched a mobile friendly web application MapmyIndia Polling booth locator. This locator is equipped with our latest and unmatched house-level data which will take you from your doorstep to the poll booth.

Special care has been taken to make it simple and easy to use so that maximize usage. Citizens can search for their pool booth either by providing their voter id or be their name and few details viz. Mother’s name/father’s name/husband’s name and locality. The application also allows the citizens to see all the [polling booth in a particular locality. Along with the poll booth location the locator provides the Voter Identity Card number, serial number.

It’s our endeavor that the Polling Booth Locator web app should help and encourage first time voters to get out and vote by providing them a clear guide to their booths. This is particularly useful in the current scenario where majority of people tend to have a smartphone with an internet connection.
