MapmyIndia has introduced ‘MapmyIndia Navigator,’ which is an in-car GPS-based direction-finding tool that offers voice and visual map directions to users, covering up over 55,000 towns and villages crosswise the country.
The Indian navigable map data supplier said it was making discussions with luxury car makers for built-in offerings.
Rakesh Verma, managing director, CE Info Systems, a promoter of MapmyIndia, said, “With GPS technology and accurate MapmyIndia maps telling you exactly where to take your next turn, unnamed roads or unclear road signs are no longer an issue. The MapmyIndia Navigator will guide you effortlessly to your destination.”
The newly launched navigator is currently available in two hardware models such as Delhi Nav 200 and AMAX 06GP5A. Both the tools are valued at Rs 21,000 in Delhi and Rs 22,000 outside the city.
Both the devices also have a built-in GPS (SirfStar III), 3.5-inch
colour touch-screen, Samsung 400 MHz processor and multimedia traits to
play movies, music, photos, games etc.
