MapMyIndia, one of the leading maping solution
provider for India has just announced the launch of GPS navigation
for mobile phones in India. Not too long ago, MapMyIndia launched
its In-car
GPS Device for India.
AgencyFAQ (which is new aFAQ) reports that CE Info Systems Private Limited has
launched the iNav GPS based nagivation for mobile phones.
According to the article, there will be two options available to
the user. One iNav Connect where you can subscribe to monthly/yearly
service at Rs. 249 to Rs. 1190. Second option will be to get a iNav
Connect card that an be purchased at all mobile phone stores and
retail chains.
This iNav Connect Mobile GPS will cover 18 major cities including
National Capital region, Mumbai and Bangalore. Another variant for
mobile GPS is iNav Loaded which can be downloaded for the whole
state (for Rs. 1190) and for the whole country(for Rs. 4490).
If you talk about the Mobile GPS, Nokia had
launched its Nokia 6110 Navigator which covered 6 major cities of
India which includes Delhi & NCR, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Pune,
Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad. But having iNav is an
advantage over Nokia 6110 because now you can use your it on any
mobile you want.
MapMyIndia hasn't updated its site with the link to iNav
information but I am hoping that they will updated the site within
few days. So check MapMyIndia.com.
